摘要
Predicting the torque of a switch reluctance machine from its finite element field solution is complicated by the high field gradient in the very narrow airgap. This paper examines the discretization errors that affect the accuracy of the calculated torque from the finite element solution, indicates the shape of elements in the airgap and the choice of rotor steps which will give a reasonably accurate torque/angle characteristic of a switched reluctance machine, and presents computed and measured results to support the analysis. © 1990 IEEE
