TIME-RESOLVED AND SPATIALLY RESOLVED SURFACE-PLASMON OPTICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE PHOTODESORPTION OF LANGMUIR-BLODGETT MULTILAYER ASSEMBLIES

摘要
We present a novel surface plasmon optical technique that allows for the spatially resolved recording of attenuated total internal reflectivity curves at 20 ms time resolution. We demonstrate its usefulness by measuring the UV-photon-induced desorption of Langmuir-Blodgett multilayer assemblies of cadmium arachidate. The kinetic data are described by a defect density model.
