Dehydrogenative copolymerization of PhSiH3 with MeH2SiSiH2Me and of Me2HSiSiH2Me with MeH2SiSiH2Me by means of CP2MMe2 (Cp = C5H5, M = Ti, Zr) afforded the new polysilane-copolymers poly(methyl-co-phenylsilane) H[(MeSiH)x(PhSiH)y]nH and poly(methyl-co-dimethylsilane) H[(MeSi)x(Me2Si)y]nH. The progress of copolymerization is investigated and analyzed by gas liquid chromatography (GLC) and GLC-mass spectrometry (GLC-MS). A variety of new organosilicon compounds, formed at the beginning of the copolymerization, were identified by GLC-MS analysis.
