摘要
Eggs of Spodoptem littoralis (Boisd.) in commercial boxes of chrysanthemum cuttings were treated with combinations of cold storage at 0–2°C for one, two or four days and fumigation using four dosages of methyl bromide each at a different temperature. After laboratory tests at Harpenden and commercial trials in the Canary Islands and the United Kingdom, cold storage at 0–2°C for four days followed by fumigation at 15°C with methyl bromide at a dosage (CTP) of 54 mg. h/1. for a period of four hours was employed as a routine measure to prevent the entry of S. littoralis and other cutworms into the United Kingdom.
