摘要：

Modification of silica aerogels by addition of infrared opacifiers like soot or TiO2 allows the application of these highly porous materials as substitutes for CFC-blown insulating polyurethane foams in refrigerators and heat storage systems. Modification of aerogels by controlled sintering improves their potential for applications in acoustic impedance matching and damping layers, in Cerenkov threshold detectors as well as in sub-micron filter systems. Ultrasonic measurements and SAXS investigations reveal characteristic changes in the elasto-mechanical properties and structural features of isothermally sintered aerogels. © 1990.
