摘要
A procedure for the direct measurement of the Poisson's ratio as a function of frequency is presented. A sine-sweep input is applied to beam-like specimens and the longitudinal and transverse strains are measured by means of electric strain gauges. Errors induced by the specimen geometry are discussed. The procedure can be applied to isotropic and sufficiently stiff viscoelastic materials in a limited frequency range. Measurement results are shown for some materials.
