摘要：

Melting temperatures and latent heats of five linear polyphenyls, benzene through p-quinquephenyl are reported. Latent heats for p-quaterphenyl and p-quinquephenyl, including the crystal-nematic and nematic-isotropic transitions of the latter, are given here for the first time.
