摘要
Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) treatment has been used in various diseases. Serious adverse effects include: (1) nonAnonB hepatitis, although with more recent preparations such viral transmission has been eliminated; (2) anaphylaxis, due to sensitization against one of the components of IVIg. Anaphylaxis is very rare but remains a threatening complication. In this review more emphasis is given to a recently described side effect of IVIg in patients with renal disease, i.e. a transient drop in the clearance of creatinine.
