摘要
The modeling of sludge particles settling in the final stage of a waste water treatment plant may include both transport and diffusion. When the residence time of sludge particles in the settler is considered, this leads to a nonlinear age-dependent transport-diffusion partial differential equation (PDE) with nonlocal condition. We investigate the question of existence of a solution.
