摘要
Daily, repetitive low-level electrical stimulation of the hippocampus in rats resulted in behavioral convulsions and electrographic epileptiform activity (kindling). The dendritic morphology of the kindled hippocampal sites was investigated using the Golgi method and compared to implanted but not stimulated hippocampi. No quantitative differences were statistically observed in any of the 15 dendritic parameters measured. Possible reasons for the failure to detect morphological correlates of kindling are discussed. © 1979 Academic Press, Inc.
