HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS INFECTIONS OF THE GENITAL-TRACT

Genital tract infections with human papillomaviruses (HPVs) have been seen with increasing frequency over the last few years. Recent advances in detection methods have permitted the identification of an expanded spectrum of clinical manifestations and have provided strong evidence of an association of HPV with genital cancers. Treatment of HPV infections is often suboptimal but there are several treatment options that can be employed.
