摘要
Experimental P-V-T data of fluid argon are presented. Most of the data cover the volume range from 28 to 132 cm3 in the range from 90 to 200°K and below 150 atm. Special attention is paid to the critical region. One isochore, however, is measured up to 2000 atm and in the high-density range. In the high-density range with molar volumes below 38 cm3 a Tait-like equation of state is fitted to the data. In the range from 40 to 132 cm3/mol, a new type of equation of state is proposed which fits the data through the critical point. It is shown that the latter equation is compatible with the power laws, and the exponents are derived. From these equations different thermodynamic properties are calculated.
