MUFFIN-TIN EMA CALCULATIONS OF ELECTRICAL-RESISTIVITY FOR LIQUID AND AMORPHOUS METALS

摘要
We have derived the expression for the resistivity in the effective medium approximation (EMA) and calculated the density of states and the resistivity for a system of muffin-tin potentials having a hard sphere structure. We found that the multiple scattering contributions contained in EMA may increase or decrease the resistivity with respect to Ziman's result. Depending on the potential strength, an increase in temperature may decrease the resistivity. © 1990.
