Synthesis, structural characterization, and spectroscopic studies of heterodimetallic [NBu(4)][(C6F5)(3)Pt(mu-Pb)(mu-X)Pt(C6F5)(3)] (X=Cl,OH) complexes

摘要
Anionic heterobinuclear complexes with molecular formula [NBu(4)][(C6F5)(3)Pt(mu-Pb)(mu-X)Pt(C6F5)(3)] (X = Cl (1), I (2), OH (3)) were obtained by the reaction of [NBu(4)](2)[Pt(C6F5)(3)X] (X = Cl, I) and Pb(ClO4)(2) . 3H(2)O in CH2Cl2 or alternatively by substitution of the Cl by the OH group in the trinuclear final product. Structures of complexes 1 and 3 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, confirming the presence of two Pt-Pb bonds in each case. The Pb centers also display o-F ... Pb short nonbonding contacts which can also be observed in solution. Compound 1 (C52H36ClF30NPbPt2) crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c: a = 32.121(6) Angstrom, b = 17.828(4) Angstrom, c = 19.389(5) Angstrom, beta = 93.37(3)degrees, V = 11084(4) Angstrom(3), Z = 8. The bond distances between the metal atoms are Pt(1)-Pb = 2.721(1) Angstrom and Pt(2)-Pb = 2.729(1) Angstrom. Compound 3 (C52H37F30NOPbPt2) crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group <P(1)over bar>: a = 10.707(4) Angstrom, b = 15.863(6) Angstrom, c = 17.828(5) Angstrom, alpha = 104.57(3)degrees, beta = 98.97(3)degrees, gamma = 100.05(3)degrees, V = 2822(2) Angstrom(3), Z = 2. The bond distances between the metal atoms are Pt(1)-Pb = 2.701(1) Angstrom and Pt(2)-Pb = 2.712(1) Angstrom.
