MICROSTRUCTURE AND CAVITY SWELLING IN REACTOR-IRRADIATED DILUTE COPPER-BORON ALLOY

摘要
An initial microstructural examination has been performed on copper specimens containing approximately 18 wt ppm B-10 that were irradiated with fission neutrons to approximately 1.2 dpa at a damage rate of 2 x 10(-7) dpa/s. A bimodal size distribution of cavities was observed for the irradiation temperatures of 182 through 500-degrees-C, along with dislocation loops and stacking fault tetrahedra (SFT).
