摘要：

A method is given of computing the currents which flow along the magnetic field lines through the magnetosphere as a consequence of dynamo action in the ionosphere. It is shown that the computation can be made without knowledge of the real horizontal ionospheric current system, by using the North-South-anti-symmetrical part of the magnetic potential field of the observed magnetic variation at the earth's surface. © 1969.
