A RAPID METHOD FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS ANALYSIS OF CHLORPYRIFOS, ISOFENPHOS, CARBARYL, IPRODIONE, AND TRIADIMEFON IN GROUNDWATER BY SOLID-PHASE EXTRACTION

A method for the simultaneous analysis of the pesticides chlorpyrifos, isofenphos, carbaryl, iprodione, and triadimefon in groundwater is presented. The method involves the extraction of the pesticides onto C18 columns and then elution with methylene chloride. After solvent exchange to hexane, the extracts are analyzed by gas chromatography using nitrogen-phosphorus detection. Recoveries average higher than 90% with a detection limit of 1 ppb for carbaryl, iprodione, and triadimefon, and 0.1 ppb for chlorpyrifos and isofenphos.; A method for the simultaneous analysis of the pesticides chlorpyrifos, isofenphos, carbaryl, iprodione, and triadimefon in groundwater is presented.
