摘要
Styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) ultrafiltration membranes were made from N,N-dimethyl formamide (DMF) solutions and thin films of polyurea were laminated onto them by in-situ interfacial polymerization to give composite reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. The method of preparation and RO performance are described. From considerations of a simple model, the observed differences in the separation characteristics and product rates determined for two different operating conditions are explained in terms of the permeability constants of the thin film.
