摘要
Flow rate, protein, amylase, lysozyme and kallikrein in human parotid saliva of a normal population (n = 117) were determined and the secretion per minute and the specific activities calculated and compared with the findings in 44 patients suffering from chronic parotitis and 30 patients with sialoadenosis. In chronic parotitis, there were characteristic differences between children and adults. According to their secretion behaviour, sialoadenosis patients could be divided into type A characterized by a sharp increase in enzyme activity and type B which, particularly upon stimulation, showed much reduced protein, amylase and lysozyme secretion. © 1979.
