DIRAC PHENOMENOLOGY AND THE LAMBDA-NUCLEUS POTENTIAL

It has recently been suggested that LAMBDA-nucleus phenomenology can be made consistent with Dirac phenomenology if the couplings of the sigma- and omega-meson are motivated by the quark mode. In the present work we perform a numerical study of LAMBDA-nucleus systematics to verify this claim. We find that the potentials motivated by the quark model offer an excellent description of the data but are not unique. Using the best-fit set of parameters we also present predictions for p-, d- and f-shell spin-orbit splittings in several LAMBDA-hypernuclei.
