ULTRASHORT PULSES OF HIGH-POWER AND SPECTRAL QUALITY TUNABLE BETWEEN 1.6 AND 4.8 MU-M

摘要
Travelling-wave parametric conversion in BBO and LiNbO3 crystals, pumped by a 2 ps pulse at 1.055 mu m, is shown to produce almost bandwidth-limited pulses widely tunable in the IR. Pulse durations down to 0.5 ps and energies up to 90 mu J have been obtained around 2 mu m Criteria for improving the device performances are discussed.
