摘要
The water-soluble corticosteroids, hydrocortisone-21-hemisuccinate sodium and methylprednisolone-21-hemisuccinate sodium, are stimulatory in vitro to pregnant mouse and human uterine strips. Higher concentrations are suppressive. The type of response is related to the day of gestation. Methylprednisolone in vitro modulates the response of the pregnant term mouse uterus to Syntocinon. Addition of KCl 6 mM. per liter in vitro causes a decreased sensitivity to the stimulatory effects of methylprednisolone. Addition of CaClz, 8.4 mM. per liter in vitro reverses the depressed effect caused by high doses of both the corticosteroids and Syntocinon. © 1969.
