NOVEL DIPHOSPHINOIRIDIUM CATALYSTS FOR THE ENANTIOSELECTIVE HYDROGENATION OF N-ARYLKETIMINES

摘要
Optical yields as high as 84% ee and turnover numbers up to 10000 are achievable when a catalyst system consisting of [Ir(C8H12)Cl]2, a chiral diphtisphino compound, and iodide is used in the enantioselective hydrogenation of N‐arylketimines 1. The anti/syn ratio of the imines has no influence on the selectivity of the hydrogenation. (Figure Presented.) Copyright © 1990 by VCH Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Germany
