X-ray diffraction curves were measured for water at -20-degrees-C, -10-degrees-C, -5-degrees-C in the supercooled region and in addition for comparison at +4-degrees-C and +30-degrees-C. The data were corrected for polarization and absorption, Compton scattering was completely included. Evaluation was based on molecular form factors and the molecular center correlation function was obtained. A continuous change of the pair correlation function from the normal to the supercooled region is found, all peak amplitudes increase with decreasing temperature and the first peak shifts in position. Comparisons with available literature data on deuterated water and with computer simulation results on ST2-water are presented.
