摘要
Concerns questions raised by C. E. Werts and D. J. Watley (see 43:4) involving theories of college environmental effects and the possible methodologies for detecting such effects. Although their empirical findings cannot be regarded as definitive because of certain limitations in their data, the methodological and substantive issues that they have raised merit careful consideration by anyone interested in the systematic study of college influence.
