A MODEL FOR HIGH-TC SUPERCONDUCTIVITY ORIGINATING IN LOGARITHMIC INTERACTIONS AND TESTING BY PHOTON AND ELECTRON-SCATTERING

Treating a quasi-2D model, where the charge carriers are confined to the xy planes, it was found that the electrons in this system emit bosons only in the xy direction because of momentum conservation. The effective electron-electron interaction potential becomes logarithmic for weak screening. By exchanging 3D longitudinal optical phonons of long wavelength, T(c) can be raised to approximately 100 K, because the electron-electron interaction in the 2D case is stronger than in the 3D case. We propose the following two experiments to verify this model: Compton scattering and electron-electron scattering experiments.
