摘要
The dielectric absorption of chloroform, acetone, diethylether, and triethylamine, each in cyclohexane, and mixtures of chloroform, respectively, with acetone, diethylether, and triethylamine in cyclohexane has been determined at up to five microwave frequencies at 25°C. The dielectric data have been analyzed to yield relaxation times and, where appropriate, dipole moments. The binary solutions are characterized by single relaxation times but the ternary mixtures show pronounced distribution parameters and, in general, a mean relaxation time significantly longer than those of the individual constituents. This is interpreted in terms of a contribution from a longer relaxation time due to a complex. A procedure for obtaining the equilibrium constant for hydrogen-bond formation of a 1:1 complex is given and yields values of the same order as those by other methods. A more detailed investigation and/or improved accuracy could yield more accurate equilibrium constants and also the dipole moments of the complexes.
