摘要
The thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis of VClO in an argon stream were carried out. The products obtained by heating VClO in an argon stream at various temperatures were examined by chemical analysis and X-ray analysis. Also, the reaction between VClO and oxygen was examined in the same manner. When VClO is heated in an argon stream, it decomposes above about 400 degree C to form V//2O//3 and VCl//3, 3VClO(s) yields V//2O//3(s) plus VCl//3(s). Subsequently, the resulting VCl//3 disproportionates to form VCl//2 and VCl//4, 2VCl//3(s) yields VCl//2(s) plus VCl//4(g). VClO reacts with oxygen above about 120 degree C to form V//2O//5 and VCl//3O, 6VClO(s) plus 3O//2(g) yields 2V//2O//5(s) plus 2VCl//3O(g); this reaction is accompanied by the 4VClO(s) plus 3O//2(g) yields 2V//2O//5(s) plus 2Cl//2(g) reaction.
