摘要
The presence of Cu(II) in penicillin solutions, through the pH range 4.0–6.0, has been shown previously to promote the degradation of the penicillins studied to their corresponding penicilloic acids. This study was undertaken to further substantiate the reaction mechanism and to postulate the catalytic site of complexation of Cu(II) with penicillin.
