摘要
The critical stress for breakaway of a segment of a tilt boundary from an otherwise pinned boundary is determined. For segment lengths greater than about 10nm, the result is consistent with a simple constant boundary energy per unit area model. For smaller segments, equivalent to larger critical applied stresses for breakaway, the exact result is needed. © 1995.
