摘要
Crystal growth conditions using the Czochralski technique were examined in order to be able to grow large size dysprosium aluminum garnet single crystals; these are useful as a working material in a practical magnetic refrigeration system. Using the best conditions, large size bubble-free Dy3Al5O12 single crystals 50 mm in diameter were grown from a stoichiometric melt composition using a seed of Y3Al5O12 single crystal. © 1990, Elsevier Science Publishers B.V.
