EFFICIENT ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF LEED ANALYSIS FOR STRUCTURAL DETERMINATIONS OF SURFACES

A new method of treating LEED data, comparing relative intensities of diffraction beams at individual energies is described and its sensitivity to structural and non-structural parameters demonstrated. Numerical methods of making reliable comparisons are considered. It is concluded that the method is capable of providing reliable information with much greater efficiency than normally obtained by the standard I (E) curve approach. © 1979 Pergamon Press Ltd.
