BIEXPONENTIAL DECAY AND DELAY ARTIFACT IN THE PHOTORESPONSE OF SUPERCONDUCTORS

摘要
The photoresponse of superconductors to laser pulses has been investigated for over 20 years. The photoresponse is very complex and has been subject to many different interpretations. We examine the biexponential response in YBCO and Nb and reveal that it is an artifact related to the superconductor's temperature dependent impedance and laser's fluence. The superconductor's impedance can also produce photoresponse delay artifacts as reported by L. R. Testardi for Pb and A. F. Gorlach and R. P. Huebner for In.
