摘要
PGM type determinations have been performed in haemolysates of 303 Norwegian Lapps from the counly of Finnmark. The observed gene frequencies were: PGM11: 0.513 and PGM21: 0.487. There were highly significant differences between distribution of PGM types in Norwegian Lapps and that of non-Lappish Norwegians and of Skolt Lapps, but no significant difference between Norwegian Lapps and Finnish Mountain Lapps. The peculiar PGM1, gene frequencies can possibly best be explained by genetic drift. Seven individuals had unusual PGM patterns. Six were apparently heterozygous fora rare allele at the PGM2 locus, while one appeared homozygous. The family of the latter individual was examined, and the PGM patterns were consistent with the hypothesis t hat both parents and two children were heterozygous, while two children were homozygous for this rare allele. © 1969 S.
