Composition and volumetric measurements were made of binary and ternary systems composed of supercritical CO2 and heavy aromatic hydrocarbons, including naphthalene, biphenyl, diphenyl methane, bibenzyl, 1- and 2-methyl naphthalene. Binary results are reported at 35 and 55-degrees-C and ternary results reported for 35-degrees-C. Binary systems exhibited both solid-fluid and fluid-liquid equilibria while ternary systems exhibited fluid-liquid-solid, fluid-liquid as well as vapor-liquid-liquid-solid equilibria. Since the composition of the CO2-rich supercritical phase is heavily dependent on the state of the co-existing condensed phases(s), all fluid phases present were sampled and reported.
