MULTIMODE VIBRONIC COUPLING WITH DISSIPATION - APPLICATION OF THE MONTE-CARLO WAVE-FUNCTION PROPAGATION METHOD

摘要
The Monte Carlo wavefunction propagation method for the solution of reduced density-matrix equations of motion is applied to solve the master equation for multi-mode vibronic-coupling systems which are weakly coupled to an environment. The first-order electric polarization, the cw absorption spectrum as well as the time evolution of electronic populations are considered. It is shown that the interplay of vibronic coupling and environmental dissipation provides a microscopic mechanism for ultrafast pure electronic dephasing processes in zero-temperature systems.
