RUPTURE OF UTERUS - ANALYSIS OF 104 CASES OF RUPTURE

The gravity of the complication of rupture of the uterus to the mother and the consequences to the fetus still provides an important subject for discussion in the world literature. Although the incidence varies between countries and centers, a study of statistics presents facts and insight into the problem and hammers the ways and means to reduce the gravity. The present study includes 104 patients with uterine rupture admitted, studied, and treated in the Maternity Hospital, Amman. A maternal mortality rate of 36.5 per cent and fetal loss of 80.7 per cent is explained according to the causes of uterine rupture. © 1968.
