摘要
Magnetoresistance (MR) properties of metallic multilayers including two magnetic components are described. A large increase of resistance occurs in a situation where the directions of magnetization are antiparallel. In a multilayer, e.g., [Cu/Co/ Cu/ NiFe] x n, magnetizations of Co and NiFe layers are oriented antiparallel in the course of field sweeping because of the difference of the coercive forces and then, the resistance increases significantly. Experimental results obtained with adopting Au and Ag as the nonmagnetic components are compared with those of Cu-based samples. Influences of interface structures on the MR properties are discussed.
