ANHARMONIC EFFECTS ON MOSSBAUER RECOILLESS FRACTION OF SOLID KRYPTON

摘要
The Mössbauer recoilless fraction of solid krypton is calculated in the temperature range 0-85°K, using a simplified treatment of the effects of anharmonicity upon the phonon frequency spectrum. The resulting model is compared with a recent calculation (without anharmonicity) and measurement of the Mössbauer fraction in solid krypton. The inclusion of anharmonic effects generally improves the agreement between theory and experiment, but no attempt is made to explain the low value of the measured Mössbauer fraction at T=0°0K. © 1970 The American Physical Society.
