A MACHINE SERVICE MODEL WITH A SERVICE STATION CONSISTING OF R UNRELIABLE UNITS

摘要
This paper deals with a machine service model with a service stat ion which consists of r unreliable units. Each machine calls for being served after it continuously working for an exponential interval time. The service station occasionally occurs breakdown which is caused by the failures of units. The service station can serve the machine if and only if none of units fails. The lifetimes of the units have different exponential distributions, while the repair times of the units have different general distributions. The time of serving a machine has a general distribution. Using the supplementary variable method and Takaes' results, we obtain the queueing quantities and reliablity quantities of the model.
