This paper documents the conclusion, key findings and research recommendations from the Natural Sinks of CO2 Workshop held in Palmas Del Mar, Puerto Rico during 24-27 February 1992. Also presented are some preliminary estimates of actual and potential carbon sinks in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
