摘要
As part of a safety standards programme, an estimation of the total intake of certain major and trace elements has been carried out for typical Indian diets. The elements S, P, Na, K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Mn, Sr, Zn, Fe, Rb and Li have been analysed in a large number of drinking water samples collected throughout India and 31 representative samples of the total daily intake of food. All elements except S and P were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry using a Perkin-Elmer model 303 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results indicate that the average daily intake of Na, Mg, K, Fe, Sr, Mn and Cu is higher in Indian diet than that given in ICRP report (Committee II), whereas the average daily intake of Ca and Li is significantly lower. The values for Zn, Cr, P and S agree with the ICRP values. © 1969 Health Physics Society.
