PION STRUCTURE-FUNCTION AND SCALE BREAKING IN DRELL-YAN PROCESSES

摘要
By use of the formalism of QCD, the author extends the structure functions of the nucleon and the pion obtained at Q2=mpsi 2 to higher values of Q2. These structure functions are then used to obtain predictions of scale-breaking effects in Drell-Yan lepton-pair production for both nucleon-nucleon and pion-nucleon cases. A comparison with recent experimental data is also presented.
