DETERMINATION OF MAJOR AND MINOR ELEMENTS IN SILICATES BY INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA EMISSION SPECTROMETRY

摘要
A simple rapid method for the determination of major and minor elements in silicates is reported. Powdered sample (50 mg) is treated with hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids in a small sealed Teflon vessel. After addition of boric acid, silicon, aluminium, iron, titanium, manganese, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium are determined by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry. The method is satisfactory for a variety of standard silicate materials. © 1979.
