SIMULATIONS OF PIEZOELECTRIC LAMB WAVE DELAY-LINES USING A FINITE-ELEMENT METHOD

摘要
The method of finite elements can be utilized to model arbitrarily shaped piezoelectric bodies with anisotropic material properties and various mechanical and electrical boundary conditions. A simulation of acoustic delay lines is performed. These delay lines are based on propagation of Lamb waves in piezoelectric ceramic plates. Device specific eigenmodes and the transient behavior are computed. In addition, the transfer function, the group delay time and the impedance matrix of devices of different design are calculated. The good agreement between simulation and experimental results indicates the suitability of the finite element method for optimizing acoustical delayline devices. © 1990 IEEE
