摘要
It is shown that the behavior of the Kovats' Retention Index on a stationary phase composed of a binary mixture of pure stationary phases can be predicted by the equation [Formulla Omitted] where M and N are column-dependent constants which can be calculated from the partition coefficients of the n-paraffins. ∅A and ∅s refer to the volume fraction of pure phases A and S, respectively. Analytical criteria for optimization of applications of this type are given. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
