摘要
Electrochemical and surface analysis investigations of heterocyclic nitrogen organic compounds revealed that their inhibition efficiency increases with the number of aromatic systems and electronic availability in the molecules. The interactions of the n-hexadecyl derivatives of pyridine (P), quinoline (Q) and acridine (A) inhibitors with Fe and steel surfaces have been investigated, the strongest being observed with the A derivatives, whereas the weakest ones appeared to occur with the P derivatives. Ellipsometric results showed a more compact inhibition layer on steel than on iron. To explain the inhibition mechanism a cooperative absorption model between chloride electroactive species and organic cations was proposed
