摘要
The effects of tetraalkylammonium (TAA) cations on the equilibrium distribution of silicate oligomers in aqueous alkaline silicate solutions have been investigated using Si-29 NMR spectroscopy. The results indicate that intrinsic differences exist in the interactions involving TAA cations and those involving alkali metal cations. The large size of the TAA cations precludes significant ion pairing; however, hydrophobic solvation and ion crowding play important roles in determining silicate speciation at equilibrium.
