摘要
All the basic laws of the traditional logic can be derived from the characteristic function f(A/a) which is 1 or 0 according as object a satisfies predicate A or not. There is good reason to believe that it is worthwhile to extend this formalism to the case where f(A/a) can take any value in the continuous domain [0, 1]. The implications of this generalization to the concepts of logic, probability and information theory are studied. © 1976 Academic Press, Inc.
