摘要
For Mises' material, with the assumption of a constant friction factor prevailing between the platens and the deforming solid disc or strip, the forging pressure is confined between upper and lower bounds. A solution can be estimated with a limit on the maximum possible error. Two types of velocity fields were considered for the upper bound solution: the triangular velocity field and a parallel velocity field in which the bulging is taken into consideration. A statically admissible stress field, with permissible stress discontinuities was considered for the lower bound solution. Friction characteristics are indicated to be dependent, among other factors, upon geometrical factors. © 1969.
